Managed vs unmanaged
On a managed VPS the provider handles setup, patching and monitoring, and the price is higher. On an unmanaged VPS you or your developer run the server, which costs less. Ruachost VPS plans are unmanaged. Compare like with like: a managed plan and an unmanaged plan are different products.
